BACKGROUND

A large financial services company faced a significant challenge: migrating their Alteryx workflows to a newly purchased Alteryx Server. Their existing setup relied on a custom solution unsupported by Alteryx or their internal IT department, creating high risk if the home-grown solution failed. Furthermore, only the reporting team could access and run these workflows, leading to roadblocks and bottlenecks when the team was busy or unavailable.

The firm needed a robust, long-term solution for their 200+ data pipelines, which fed dashboards and reports used across the enterprise. They aimed to enhance their data infrastructure to support scheduled workflows, improve user interface and governance, and promote self-service analytics throughout the organization.

CHALLENGE

CSpring played a crucial role in this transformation by documenting and streamlining the migration process. We began by meticulously documenting data inputs and outputs for every Alteryx workflow in production. This comprehensive documentation served as a roadmap, detailing the connections and data locations necessary for the Alteryx Server to seamlessly integrate and execute workflows.

By migrating to an Alteryx Server, our client now enjoys a stable, centralized, and supported platform. This new setup manages, expands, and executes over 200 Alteryx workflows, ensuring uninterrupted reporting for enterprise-wide operations
